VGW GUIDED TOUR | 16:30
with Emilija Šneiderytė

September 11th

Vilnius is home to over forty art galleries, each differing in status, operational principles, and core values. During this tour, art market consultant Emilija will introduce you to this diverse landscape as we discover what unites these spaces and what sets them apart. Over the Vilnius Gallery Weekend, we will visit three distinct spaces: a private gallery, Lithuanian Artists’ Association Gallery, and Vilnius Academy of Arts Gallery or other non-profit gallery. Through practical observation and live examples, we will explore how each gallery functions from the inside out.

Emilija Šneiderytė is an art market consultant. For over eight years, she has collaborated with artists, galleries, and cultural institutions, contributing to the development of exhibitions and major art events. One of her most prominent projects was working on the team that brought Marina Abramović’s exhibition to Lithuania. She currently works at the ArtVilnius art fair. Alongside her institutional work, Emilija runs the @artgeek.diary initiative, which aims to deepen people’s connection with contemporary art. Through this platform, she leads engaging art experiences where participants explore their surroundings through art—free from preconceived notions or pressure. She also works one-on-one, helping clients discover their first artworks and make informed, meaningful investment choices.
