Theo Bardsley ‘Echoes of the Room‘

Address: Užupio g. 28Opening: September 10th 19:00

In Theo Bardsley’s solo exhibition ‘Echoes of the Room’, the featured paintings explore the boundaries between private and public worlds, the traces of human presence, and the relationship between memory and space. The artist creates a subtle tension between figure and environment, where signs of the past persist long after a person has departed. Drawing on experiences and observations in London, Morocco, and Vilnius, Bardsley connects intimate situations with the fleeting impressions of random passers-by. Alongside figurative works, unpeopled pieces are also on display, their human presence implied by subtle details: a shadow in a window, a wisp of cigarette smoke, or an empty chair. From 24 August, the artist will begin a residency at TUMO gallery in Vilnius, with the new works seamlessly integrating into the evolving exhibition.
