This is one of those rare occasions to view a group exhibition showcasing the work of glass artists currently active across the Baltic States, each bringing distinct experiences and artistic trends. The works presented are linked by a metaphorical and physical denominator of layering, through which the fragility of glass sharpens the capricious and unpredictable nature of the material. The exhibition features artistic glass objects, sculptures, and installations created using various techniques, with a special focus on materiality and the unique properties of glass. It aims to reveal the multi-layered nature, dynamics, and craftsmanship of contemporary glass art, capturing and presenting shifts that deepen our encounter with the artwork, while rethinking the contemporary connections between technology, visuality, and conceptuality.
