Every city is born from stories. Some are built from stone, concrete, and glass; others from imagination. Laukiniškiai belongs to the latter – it is a place where coexistence is based not on domination, but on friendly exchange. In Akvilė Magicdustė’s work, fiction is not an escape from reality – it becomes a way of rethinking it. Here, mythology functions as a language of knowledge, allowing us to envision a world in which humans are no longer at the centre of everything. By transforming a territory, we also change the stories that preserve it, and, in turn, our relationship with it.
